Brown Grass!

Yes, my grass is brown too! This happens when our turf grass goes dormant. This also means to turn back the water of your sprinkler system.

When your grass is brown and dormant and the plant material is dormant it is the best time to get ready for the upcoming hot season. Make sure your irrigation is working well. Turn back the water so you are just keeping the soil moist. All of the water will not make the grass green. We need some warm weather to do that.

So cut back the water, make sure everything is working well and enjoy NOT CUTTING THE GRASS.  When it is green again its time to cut.
