Rain Sensor Law!

Yes, it is a law to have a rain sensor. As of July 1, 2009, Florida Statute 373.62 says that all automatic irrigation systems must have an operational rain sensor.

A rain sensor will pay for itself in a year. It will save water, fertilizer, and pesticides. Extra water costs money, even with a well. Also, extra water washes out your fertilizer and pesticides.

Rains sensors are not perfect, but they will work. They do get old and need to be repaired or replaced because they are a wear item.

If you think your rain sensor is not working properly and it is more the 7 years old, it probably needs some attention. If we can help with your Orlando irrigation system, please call us at 407-275-0804.
