Rain Sensor Law

Florida statute 373.62 decrees that when you work on or install an irrigation system, you must test the existing rain sensor or install a rain sensor before any other work is performed! If the property owner refuses the installation of a new rain sensor or the repair of an existing rain sensor, the contractor is required to report the property owner to the proper authority.

Yes, you now must have a rain sensor installed on your sprinkler system. This is actually a great thing, the rain sensor will save you water and money. You can even adjust the rain sensor to your property’s needs.

Remember, if it is raining enough, please save our water for a day when you need it.

If you need a rain sensor or irrigation work please call Bruce Hage Irrigation at 407-275-0804.
