Sand in Sprinkler Heads?
We are have a high number of irrigation systems with sand in the sprinkler heads. This is different than normal. The systems that are collecting a lot of sand seem to be reclaimed water systems.
It seems as if reclaimed water facilities are having a hard time keeping up with the demand of irrigation water. I would guess that when you get close to the bottom of the storage facility, there is some debris. Think of it being similar to the gas tank of a car.
It is unfortunate, but sand in your irrigation system just isn’t a surprise any more.
How do you fix it? Just clean out the sand.
