Turn Your Water Back – It’s the Law!

Ladies and Gentlemen… it is time to turn back your clocks and your irrigation controllers. The first Saturday in November is the day we reduce our irrigation controllers to one time per week. Yes, you can only water one time per week! The good news is that this is all you need. The ET rate (evapotranspiration rate) in Orlando for November is only 2.67 inches, which is only .6 inches per week. You should be able to set your irrigation controller for one time a week for 20 to 30 minutes on sprays and 1 to 1.5 hours on rotors.

Also, make sure your rain sensor works. If you over water, you will get a fungus and create more weeds. DON’T OVER WATER! You will spend extra money on water and spend more money getting rid of pests!
